CHILP MAY MEETING

PARISH PRESIDENT LAYTON RICKS will be the guest speaker for the Citizens for Highways and Infrastructure meeting on Tuesday May 1, 2012.  The Parish President will give his “State of the Parish” address which will lay out the present state of the parish, the problems he sees to overcome and the progress he hopes will be accomplished in the coming year.  The meeting is free and open to the public.  Come to the library at Eden Church Road and Florida Blvd. at 6:30PM on Tuesday May 1, 2012 and learn where we are and where we are going.

MASTER PLAN MEETINGS

The Master Plan consultant has fininshed the first round of meetings in Livingston Parish.  The turn out has been very poor and the comments by people attending is that it is very hard to get people out of their recliners in the evening but they will surely get out and complain when an industrial complex is built next to their house.  This is a historic event in our Parish, to set up zoning and areas to develop in the fashion that we want it to.  There will be two more rounds of public hearings and opportunities for you to have a say in the way and areas to be developed and grown for the benefit of our Parish.  Come out and have your ideas be part of how Livingston Parish grows.  Would you want a sawmill, trash dump or junk yard next to your home????
